if the physalia actually had a heart, then it would have been destroyed already. the body of the physalia could be seen being torn at an extreme pace but it is actually still alive. the sigil of kindness activated, and its torn-up body exploded in golden light. when the light subsided, the shredded body of the physalia has once again become complete.
"seriously, that kind of healing ability is cheating." adrian stated as he cannot use another powerful spell like that anytime soon.
"it is running away!" altum shouted as the leg that was caught by his anchor and chain was shredded earlier as well.
"blackout." lilith calmly stated as a wave of darkness suddenly covered a large area.
the fleeing physalia is also caught up inside of the area which made it unable to flee. this was akin to a domain, but it is more of a skill that restricted the area. all of the beings inside of it cannot escape unless the being that used the spell is out of mana or killed.

the halo that acted as a choker on its neck suddenly expanded to release a powerful shockwave and light explosion. all of them that were near the physalia are pushed away while the attacks and spells that were charging were snuffed out. the halo that released this attack got destroyed after this attack.

after the physalia unleased one of its life saving abilities, it immediately went into rampage and released attacks using its sonic ability. unlike the previous times where it released it in a spread-out direction, the physalia utilized sharp attacks using its large tendrils. it would use its tendrils to slash at the water to create a sharp sonic wave that travelled through water in an unbelievable speed.
the first target was none other than adrian since he was the closest of cutting off the neck of the physalia. two sonic slashes hit adrian, but he made use of his scythe to block the initial impact. he was able to negate some of the damage, but he was pushed to the edges of the constricted area. attacks poured towards the physalia, but it was now in a state of invulnerability.
the physalia released sonic slashes towards the others as well, but they were also able to defend against it. ark made use of a spell that temporarily turned his body into shadows which let the attack pass through. altum used his anchor as a shield which also ended up with him getting pushed back but not as far as adrian since he moves better in water.
kanlaon dodged the sonic slashes with ease as he can move in water freely as well. wisteria retreated back to her shell and hardened it to the point that the sonic slashes did not even damage her. dodu just let the sonic slashes pass through its body and let it get cut up in thirds, but all parts of its body stuck back after a second or two.
if the physalia could show frustration, then it would have already shown it by now as it waves its tendrils in irritation. adrian and the others did not hurry because the curtain of darkness is their friend as the illuminated area is swallowed by it once more.
