I am what you call a High Wizard because I have mastered at least two elements to the highest degree. I can cast wind and water elemental magic up to the Mythical Tier. The Transcendent tier is in the realm of demigods and gods which is why mortals like me cannot cast it. Unless I ascend to a demigod then I will be trapped in the Mythical Tier forever.

This is also one of the reasons I accepted the job offer of the Merchan Guild when they scouted me. One might say that you only need talent in magic to become a powerful wizard but that is a feeble dream. You need both talent and money in order to breakthrough the limits of magic. I merely accepted their offer as an honorary member that will protect the Merchant Guild in times of trouble in exchange for things I need for my own research.

I was incredibly busy but the air in the merchant guild suddenly turned a bit different. Some branch leaders were suddenly accused of embezzling funds when they know that the merchant guild is very heavy in punishments when it comes to that. One of the accused is even the new branch leader in the mystical territory known as Avalon.

I investigated who accused Piggy Bank because I have seen him before and judged that he is the most honest merchant I saw except for the Grand Merchant Leader of the merchant guild. He is not one to embezzle which is why I asked who accused him to see if it was slander. He is a very important member of the merchant guild in my eyes as he is the only one that the demons are friendly to.

It takes a lot for demons to trust you which is why he is already an important figure in my eyes. To us wizards, demons are the peak form of magic as they can easily weave time and space according to their wishes. They are the ones that we wizards should always achieve to be which is why suddenly accusing someone like Piggy Bank, that is friendly with demons, is not a step in the right direction.

There were already a lot of opposition when he became a branch leader, but the upper echelon could only agree. The merchant guild building pact that came from Avalon specifically stated that Piggy Bank must be the branch leader or else the deal will not come through. A lot of the upper echelon debated that the Lord of Avalon was demanding too much but the greed of merchants cannot be stopped by just that.

We arrived in Avalon, and I could only be in great shock as even the knights that came with me are the same. The people that interact in Avalon are of different races, but the air here is different from some cities that are controlled by the guild. In the cities controlled by the merchant guild, there is a rule to not discriminate but there is still that underlying bias which makes other beings unable to truly interact with each other.

Here in Avalon, I could see different races smiling and greeting one another. Even their children are happily playing with each other even though the differences between them is stark. As soon as we arrived, I also felt the stares of the demons since we used a teleportation scroll. It seems that they saw the merchant guild badge on us which is why we were not questioned as we just went straight to the guild branch.

The knight leader and knights that I accompanied are good, but they want to ascend the ranks. This led them to be incredibly harsh when trying to get Piggy Bank. They even forgot to introduce themselves to the other person in the room that is a demon. A demon that I, myself, could not stare into as if just looking will make my eyes burst.

If the demons outside made me shake in fear, the demon that is in Piggy Bank's office made me outright terrified. The demon that is talking to Piggy Bank looked completely different from the other demons as if he is above all of them. His demeanor also tells me that he is someone so important that you should never disrespect.

I might look slightly old in my 40s and the demon might look like a teenager but they never age. He might be hundreds of years older than me which is why respect must always be given. I was about to warn the knights when two of them suddenly charged but they were pinned in place due to the gravity being manipulated.

"Who gave you the authority to do arrests at my own territory without even informing me?" The demon stated which almost made heart drop as I immediately knew who he was.

I was about to kneel down and apologize while asking the knights the same, but this idiotic knight leader spat unnecessary words. The Lord of Avalon is an Arch Demon that can destroy the merchant guild in any city if he so chooses. I had to become incredibly physical with the dumb knights that came with me and beg for forgiveness.

Begging for forgiveness is the only way out of this because all I felt was death when I looked straight into the eyes of the Lord of Avalon. Those eyes are eyes of someone that can easily delete you in existence.
