Qingyun's Love: Tiger Boy Falls in Love with a Pretty Lawyer

Chapter 152 Injured at Home

Chapter 152 Injured at Home

As they were talking, the doorman hurried in with a girl. It turned out to be Xin'er. When she saw Ranmo and the others, she left the doorman and ran over, saying anxiously, "Ranmo, something bad has happened to Azan!"

Everyone was startled. Ran Mo thought, Xin'er, Xin'er, it would be wonderful if you were a magpie that loves to announce good news. He hurriedly asked what happened.

Xin'er replied, "I ran into Azan's mother on the street. She said Azan had gotten into a fight with someone and was injured. He was sent to the hospital for treatment and is now lying at home. I came to tell you."

Qingsheng was furious when he heard this. Who was so bold as to bully his disciple? He dragged Ranmo along to get the details.

Ran Mo was also worried. The three of them said goodbye to Wu Shao and went to take a look. Wu Shao said to come back and tell him if there was anything he needed.

Ranmo nodded, and the three of them left the Wu residence together. Halfway through the journey, Ranmo told Xin'er to go home first and wait for news from them.

Xin'er agreed and asked them to bring greetings to Azan. After spending some time with him, she felt that Azan was a pretty good guy. She was also quite worried about him.

Ranmo and Qingsheng hurried to Azan's house. Seeing the gate was closed, they shouted a few times through the wall.

A faint sound echoed from inside the house. Then, Azan said in a slightly weak voice, "Ranmo, Brother Sheng, my mother went to get some medicine for me. I can't get out of bed to open the door, so why don't you climb in through the gap in the courtyard wall?"

The two of them were stunned, looking at each other. Then they looked at the courtyard wall. Qingsheng tilted his head towards Ranmo. Doesn't that mean anything?

Ranmo was worried about Azan, so he nodded. Is the wall just so high?

Seeing her thoughts, Qingsheng smiled slightly, walked to the wall, squatted down, and crossed his palms to make a stirrup. Then he gestured to Ranmo to stand on it and climb to the top of the wall.

Ran Mo didn't want to be shy, so he followed his instructions and climbed up the wall. However, he was in a dilemma and didn't dare to jump down.

Qingsheng told her to wait and that he would pick her up after he got there. He took a few steps back, then quickly stepped forward and scurried up to the top of the wall. The gust of wind staggered Ranmo.

Qingsheng jumped into the yard and then walked towards the house. Huh? Ranmo's eyes widened in surprise.

Qingsheng took a few steps and turned back, a smile on his face. "Oh, sorry, I almost forgot about you."

Ranmo knew he was joking, and angrily told him to get her off quickly. Qingsheng opened his arms and looked at her, suggesting she jump into his arms. Ranmo looked up at the sky speechlessly, wanting to kick him.

At this moment, Azan's voice was heard from the room again. Qingsheng didn't dare to mess around anymore and quickly stood against the wall. He had his back to her, but after thinking about it, he stood facing the wall again and moved his shoulder towards Ranmo's feet, letting her step on his shoulder to get down.

Ran Mo hesitated for a moment, then, remembering his teasing, stepped unceremoniously on his shoulder. Qing Sheng sank slightly, then quickly regained his balance. After carefully staking his feet, Ran Mo didn't know what to do next.

Qingsheng encouraged her to continue sliding down. Ranmo wanted to slide her feet to his chest, but unexpectedly her feet slipped and her legs slid directly to the back of Qingsheng's head. She was so scared that she quickly hugged Qingsheng's head and pressed her belly against his forehead.

Qingsheng grabbed Ranmo's waist with both hands, shaking his head left and right in a struggle, then pinched her waist and slowly slid her down from in front of him. Then he sighed and said, "You almost suffocated me."

Ranmo smiled sheepishly, quickly stood up to tidy up, and went to Azan's house. Qingsheng followed him.

Azan lay on the small bed, his face slightly turned inward, and a glimpse of a few crystal tears could be seen in the corner of his eyes.

The two were startled and hurried to the bedside to greet him. Azan nodded slightly but said nothing.

The two exchanged glances. Qingsheng bent down, hugged Azan's upper body, and helped him sit up. They both sat down at the head and end of the bed.

Ranmo asked Azan, "Are you feeling better? What happened?"

Azan looked up at the two of them, remaining silent for a long moment. Qingsheng then asked, "What exactly happened? We are both teachers and friends. Tell us what happened. We will definitely help you."

Azan looked around at the two of them, then threw himself onto Qingsheng's shoulder and sobbed on it.

Their eyes met, and Qingsheng felt a little embarrassed. He quickly reached out and patted Azan on the back and said, "Why are you crying like a 100-pound child? Tell me what's going on so that I can let you, your brother and the master, take care of it."

Azan slowly raised his head, his large, dark eyes filled with tears. He looked at the two of them, not saying a word, his thoughts returning to the incident that had occurred a few days earlier.

On a dim afternoon street, six old men sat in a circle, comfortably playing cards in a corner, a small haven. They were sometimes lazy, sometimes energetic; sometimes noisy, sometimes silent and thoughtful.

Azan, dressed in a coarse short shirt, stood behind them, quietly watching them play cards. It formed a somewhat strange picture.

I don't know when it started, but this became a way for the boy to while away his time. In fact, I couldn't understand what they were fighting about.

But he stood there like a demon, observing the appearance and mannerisms of each of these old men one by one, and trying to guess their temperaments and even how they behaved at home.

During breaks, the old men would occasionally glance up at him, their eyes filled with confusion as to why this little kid was hanging out with them. They never spoke to each other, so they were no longer surprised.

Now Azan no longer needs this kind of entertainment. But today, when I happened to pass by, I couldn't help but stop.

"Hey! What are you doing?" A clear and gentle voice interrupted Azan's thoughts while he was looking at the cards. Looking in the direction of the voice, he saw a sunny boy standing on the street, looking at him with a smile on his face.

It was Qiutang. He happened to be passing by and stopped to say hello. He had transferred to another school, so I didn't expect to see him here.

After giving a brief response, Azan continued to concentrate on the confusing card game.

Qiutang was stunned. He couldn't understand what was so interesting about old men playing cards. Could it be that he had fallen for some old man? He stood there stupidly for a while, and when Azan remained indifferent, he started to leave unhappily.

Azan suddenly called him over and smiled. Qiutang immediately became excited and moved closer to Azan, gently touching his shoulder with hers. She glanced at him, implying that she wanted him to accompany her to go somewhere else.

At first, Azan didn't want to pay attention to him, but now he had a plan. He pretended to look at the chess game and the old men reluctantly, then followed Qiutang away.

They walked along the road, chatting and occasionally kicking stones on the roadside. The town was not big, and they arrived at the edge of the town in a short while.

Outside the town lay the vast expanse of wilderness. Azan sometimes wandered there alone. This was the first time he and Qiutang had gone there together.

The two of them sat down on the floor. Qiutang wanted to ask about Azan's suspension, but he couldn't bear to ruin the atmosphere. He also felt guilty and regretful about Azan's experience.

Who could have imagined that a single sentence or a small thought would actually kick off a long-lasting farce? Qiu Tang had never anticipated this situation.

Azan initially wanted to criticize the others for their taunting. However, he ended up making matters worse, and the situation got out of hand. He never participated in the subsequent nonsense, simply watching it with indifference.

The wind starts from the tip of the green reed. The person who loves me has inexplicably brought me into this situation. Azan doesn't know whether to cry or laugh.

He hadn't blamed him before. Perhaps Qiutang's unintentional act had simply happened to trigger a small quirk deep within him. Perhaps his campus life was destined to take an unusual path.

"In the netherworld, I have let down this good friend." They still maintained daily communication, but inevitably drifted apart.

It's a shame. They had a brilliant friendship for a while, and could have been lifelong friends. But due to a series of twists and turns, their friendship was ruined, and ultimately, their affection faded away.
