When Lin Xuan heard this, he understood that the living Buddha knew that he would definitely go.
So Lin Xuan asked the host: "Does the living Buddha also know me from Litang?"
The host shook his head and said: "The Living Buddha is old and has no intention of learning these things. The Living Buddha told us about your coming here a long time ago."
Lin Xuan was not surprised, because he knew that these things that modern technology could not explain did not exist.
"The Living Buddha has calculated that today is the day when he will pass away, so he has asked us to prepare for it very early," the host said, "The Living Buddha is old, so don't say anything that would upset him."
Lin Xuan nodded and asked: "How old is the Living Buddha?"
"Ninety-nine years old." The host replied: "Although he looks in good spirits, he is already decayed and exhausted inside, and he will not be able to reach a hundred years old."
"This is also an advanced age." Lin Xuan said: "What should I do if I go?"
"I don't know. It all depends on Donor Lin's own wishes." The host said.
Soon, Lin Xuan followed the host to the door of a house.
The host knocked on the door, called the living Buddha by his name, and said, "Master Lin Xuan is here."
"Let him in." came the reply.
The host opened the door, invited Lin Xuan in, poured tea for the Living Buddha and Lin Xuan, and then left.
Lin Xuan sat on the futon opposite the Living Buddha and looked at the aging Living Buddha in front of him.
"I heard that you are going to pass away." Lin Xuan said.
"Haha, today is the day," the Living Buddha looked at the sun outside the window and said, "The sun is just right today."
"But I think you are still in good health." Lin Xuan said.
"It's just a reflection of the light." The living Buddha looked at Lin Xuan and said, "I have been waiting for you to come, but I don't want you to come."
Lin Xuan lowered his eyes.
"The Lord Buddha said that when you come, it is the time when I leave." The living Buddha said.
"Maybe that kid shouldn't come." Lin Xuan said.
"No, it's just the right time for you to come." The living Buddha said: "Ninety-nine is a good number.
"Today is my last day at the age of ninety-nine. It is also an honor to meet you."
After speaking, the living Buddha took out a box from the side and handed it to Lin Xuan, saying: "This is a scripture that has been with me since I was a child. I have spent my whole life not understanding its meaning, but I know that he It’s a scripture.”
Lin Xuan opened the box and saw the origin of the scripture.
"This is a Mongolian scripture (chec) from the Yuan Dynasty. The characters above are the characters created by Yuanzu himself, also called Basba script, which is a phonetic script.
The living Buddha nodded and said: "It is indeed Mongolian, but I can only put it together, but I cannot understand the meaning of the text.
If Donor Lin understands, just read it to me. "
Lin Xuan turned over the scriptures and said in his mind: "System, give me a thousand years of understanding of Basba."
"Ding! The host's ability to understand Basba in one minute has become a thousand years!"
At this moment, in Lin Xuan's eyes, Basba script was as easy to understand as Chinese characters. He looked at the scripture and slowly read out the meaning of the text.
The Living Buddha listened and closed his eyes with a smile.
Lin Xuan knew that the living Buddha had not passed away yet, so he just closed his eyes and listened to him reciting the scriptures, and then he read on with peace of mind.
After reading, the Living Buddha opened his eyes.
"It seems that this scripture really belongs to you." The living Buddha said: "My lineage has guarded this scripture for dozens of generations. Now, it can be considered that it has found its owner."
Lin Xuan put his hands together respectfully and recited the Buddha's name.
"Amitabha, living Buddha, this sutra is not for me, but for you. In addition to the main text of the sutra, there are many comments on the understanding of the sutra."
"However, none of us understands the meaning of this text. Only you understand it. Shouldn't it belong to you?" The living Buddha said with a smile, knocked on the wooden fish in front of him, murmured a few times, and said to Lin Xuan said:
"The time has come, let the hosts take me to the Divine Lake."
Lin Xuan got up as he was told, called the host and some monks, and watched them make all the preparations for the living Buddha in an orderly manner, and then carried the living Buddha to the sacred lake.
At the edge of the sacred lake, many Tibetans were already waiting outside. When they saw the living Buddha being carried over, they all lowered their heads and recited Amitabha.
By the lake, the living Buddha was put down. Behind him, the monks, including the abbot, knocked on the wooden fish and chanted scriptures until the breathing of the living Buddha stopped.
A cold wind blew from the lake, causing ripples to appear on the sparkling lake.
The living Buddha passed away.
After reciting the Purana Sutra, the living Buddha was sent underwater by the monks, and the ceremony ended.
On the way back, Lin Xuan said to the host: "The Living Buddha gave me a scripture from the early Yuan Dynasty, but it is of high value. I think it is better to tell you about it."
The host nodded and said: "I know that scripture. It belongs to the living Buddha. Whoever he wants to give it to is his freedom. We will not interfere."
"But I heard that Donor Lin is looking for Buddhist artifacts. This scripture can be considered one of the Buddhist artifacts. I wonder if it will be useful to Donor Lin?" the host asked.
Lin Xuan shook his head and said, "It seems we have to go west."
The host nodded and said: "Don't be too eager, let everything take its course, and the opportunity will come naturally."
Lin Xuan followed the host to the front of Zuogong Temple. Seeing Wang Ruoya who was still waiting for him, he said to the host: "I am going to donate 10 million incense to your temple [please host not to refuse"
"
The host of "Amitabha" often recited Buddhist scriptures and said: "On the creation monument, the name of Donor Lin will be hung at the highest point.'
After Lin Xuan debited the incense donation place, he walked out with the box.
Wang Ruoya looked at the box and said, "The fine sandalwood is probably good stuff inside, right?"
Lin Xuan handed the box over with a smile and said: "The scriptures given by the living Buddha."
Wang Ruoya opened the box and took a look. Surprised: "Basi Bawen?"
Abreu, who was on the side, also knew a little about Basba, and was equally surprised: "That's something from the Yuan Dynasty!"
"Yes, so I just donated 10 million to the temple." Lin Xuan said.
"Is it a little short? How about I donate more?" Wang Ruoya asked.
"No need." Lin Xuan shook his head.
"Then is this scripture useful to you?" Wang Ruoya asked.
"The host and the living Buddha have said that we must continue to go west." Lin Xuan said.
That's just useless.
Wang Ruoya was a little disappointed. She put the box away and said, "After meeting Nishang and the others later, shall we go pick fruits?"
"Well... I want to take a rest first." Lin Xuan said.
Xuan just attended the passing away of the living Buddha in the morning, and went to do other things excitedly in the afternoon. Xuan felt that it was a bit inappropriate.
Wang Ruoya nodded understandingly and said, "Then you rest, I'll go with them."
"Take Abreu with you." Lin Xuan ordered.
"Don't worry." Wang Ruoya smiled and patted Lin Xuan's hand and said.
"By the way, boss, do we want to visit the ancient tombs here in the next few days?"
