Chapter 461: Evil Blood Clan

Chapter 461: Evil Blood Clan

The wind howled across the peak of the celestial mountain, tugging at Tan Suey’s gown as she stood her ground against the interloper."You are right... But still, can you tell me why you’re in my realm?" she asked calmly, her voice carrying the weight of a ruler, though her eyes remained locked on Sunny with wary precision.

"At least, can I know your name?" Sunny asked with a smirk. He didn’t need her to speak it—the System had already laid her identity bare in floating script—but he wanted the satisfaction of hearing the Realm Ruler acknowledge him.

"Tan Suey," she answered, the name echoing with a faint, melodic resonance.

"Ok, Tan Suey, I am Sunny." Sunny turned his back to her with practiced nonchalance, walking toward the sheer edge of the mountain peak. He looked down into the abyss, seeing nothing but a sea of churning, eternal clouds that separated the heavens from the mortal dirt below.

"I am here for two reasons, and if you stay out of my way, I won’t touch your realm," he said. He raised two fingers, his silhouette framed against the horizon, completely unconcerned with the powerful woman standing behind him.

Tan Suey shifted her stance, her gaze burning into his back. "What are these two reasons?"

"First, I plan to avenge someone. She lost her entire race, and if it hadn’t been for Ezekiel, she would also have met her end." Sunny’s voice dropped an octave, growing cold. "The clan responsible is known as the Evil Blood Clan. With your powers as a ruler, you should know their whereabouts, right?"

The name hit Tan Suey like a physical blow. Her composure shattered for a split second, a look of genuine shock crossing her features. Sunny caught the reaction, glancing back over his shoulder with a slight, questioning frown.

"What is it?"

"No... It’s just that..." Tan Suey took a breath, her tone suddenly laced with a simmering, helpless rage. "This clan came to this world five centuries ago and started rampaging. I don’t know what dark arts they used, but I cannot enter their domain. They carry that cursed territory with them wherever they go, slaughtering countless beings while I remain powerless to stop them."

She looked away, the shame of a ruler unable to protect her subjects evident in her eyes. "The Evil Blood is a secretive clan; I don’t even know where they truly originated from. I have conducted investigations and found nothing. If you can truly get rid of them, I will reward you."

"Oh? I already said I am here for revenge, meaning I will destroy them regardless. Even knowing this, you still want to reward me?" Sunny turned fully to face her, his hands folded behind his back in a posture of supreme confidence.

"I do not know if you can even pass through their domain," Tan Suey said, her brow furrowing. "But by getting rid of those animals, you are helping me. And I never owe anyone favors."

Sunny gave a slow, measured nod. "Ok then... I am sure you can help me with their location."

"I will," she promised, her resolve hardening. She stepped closer. "What is the second reason?"

"I came for the Primordial Phoenix Beast."

"What?!!"

The exclamation tore from her throat. In the hierarchy of the five realms, the Primordial Phoenix Beast was a creature of myth, an ancient power that commanded the very essence of rebirth and fire. Merely seeing one was a blessing; the idea of a hunt was madness.

"You want to kill it?" she asked, her voice trembling as she sought confirmation.

"Yes. I want to kill it and absorb its core." Sunny clenched his fist, the air around him beginning to hum with suppressed power. "I have one question for you." He looked at her.

"What is it?"

"Do you know where these ancient beasts came from? I am 100% sure they aren’t from the five realms."

Tan Suey shook her head slowly, a look of defeat crossing her face. "I am sorry, I don’t know the answer. The beasts are just like the Evil Blood Clan—their origin is a void, unknown even to us Realm Rulers."

Sunny accepted the answer with a curt nod, his gaze sweeping across the misty landscape. "I also want to bring the person I am helping to this world. Naturally, this is her hometown. I am asking for your permission."

Tan Suey hesitated, calculating the cost. "If you can destroy the Evil Blood Clan, I will let you bring anyone inside my realm... but only ten at most."

"Ten?"

Sunny’s smirk returned, sharper and more dangerous than before. He opened his palm, and a roiling, viscous dark smoke erupted from his skin. It hissed into the air, hovering before him and shifting into a terrifying shape.

"What are you doing?!" Tan Suey cried out, stumbling a step backward. Her blood ran cold as the atmospheric pressure plummeted.

’What is this pressure? I can feel the aura of Death itself radiating from this smoke! This... this is a true God-rank presence!’

The smoke solidified, expanding with violent speed until it formed a massive, physical Black Dragon. Its wingspan was a nightmare of shadow, stretching wider than the very mountain range they stood upon. It loomed over them, its obsidian eyes fixed on the trembling Realm Ruler.

"This... This is...?" She was speechless, her power feeling like a guttering candle next to the bonfire of death before her.

"You say ten?" Sunny asked, his voice echoing with the dragon’s low growl. "You want me to completely wipe out the Evil Blood Clan, yet you ask me to bring only ten?"

"How... How can you possess such a thing? Even if it’s one rank below a realm ruler, it has the law of death around it!!"

"I want to grind them into the dirt, so I will need my army of tens of billions. Of course, I won’t bring them all—that would surely shatter your world—so I will bring only ten million." Sunny crossed his arms, the smirk widening as the dragon’s dark energy saturated the mountain air.

"This guy above me? I have one million just like him under my command."

"...?!!"

Tan Suey stared up at the monstrosity, the terrifying reality of his identity finally crashing down on her.

’Shit!! I forgot... He isn’t just a realm ruler. He is the God of Death. The one who commands the legions of the fallen!!’
